Campaign invites expecting parents to apply for program
Los Angeles, CA — March 2025
Nice Media Group recently partnered with the Abundant Birth Project to produce a suite of media content that elevates the voices of Black birthing people in California. Through strategic messaging, short-form video, and community-centered storytelling, Nice helped bring to life the stories behind this groundbreaking guaranteed income program for pregnant individuals.
Nice Media Group is proud to support the groundbreaking Abundant Birth Project by producing a compelling media campaign that lifts the voices of birthing people impacted by the program.
The Abundant Birth Project is the first guaranteed income initiative in the United States specifically focused on improving birth outcomes for Black and Pacific Islander families. Through monthly cash supplements distributed during and after pregnancy, the program addresses the root causes of stress and structural inequality that contribute to stark disparities in maternal and infant health.
Nice Media Group worked closely with program leaders, participants, and community advocates to create a series of narrative-driven videos, social media content, and branded messaging that humanizes the data and amplifies the stories of those most affected. The result is a visually rich, emotionally resonant campaign that deepens public understanding of birth equity while celebrating the power of proactive policy and investment in Black families.
“This was about more than content—it was about care, context, and dignity,” said Carmen Smith, CEO of Nice Media Group. “The families involved in Abundant Birth Project are not case studies; they are co-authors of their futures and the story of Black birth and parenting. Our role was to help reflect that truth through story.”
The campaign is currently being used by stakeholders across California to support ongoing advocacy, public education, and program expansion efforts.
